Greywolf Foundation to Launch “IMPACT CHANGE Initiative” at Event on May 15th

To combat the ongoing crisis of violence against women, the Greywolf Foundation, will launch its “IMPACT CHANGE Initiative” on May 15, 2022. The goal of the initiative is to bring awareness and provide fundraising opportunities to assist organizations working against the domestic abuse of women, with a particular focus on the Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women (MMIW) movement.

In partnership with Spirit of a Woman Productions, the Greywolf Foundation is hosting an informational and fundraising event on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the Comfort Suites Cottage Grove (1607 Landmark Drive). The evening will include speakers highlighting the issues facing indigenous women survivors of domestic violence and discussing opportunities for individuals to make a difference in their local communities. Feedback from attendees on various ways the “IMPACT CHANGE Initiative” can provide resources and impact the issue will be encouraged.

A feature of the event will be a sneak peak premiere of “Don’t Speak” – a music video created by international Indigenous award-winning artist Kelly Jackson. Both the song and video are dedicated to survivors of violence and the plight to recognize the challenge indigenous women face with regards to violence against women.

“Music has been medicine for me, as a survivor, I am devoted to impacting change in both empowering survivors and creating stronger protection of our indigenous girls and women,” said Kelly Jackson.

Donations collected at the event will be used to provide domestic violence care packages, which will be distributed to local organizations and shelters. Donations can also be made online at www.GreywolfFoundation.org/give-now. Please designate IMPACT CHANGE INITIATIVE as the Purpose of your gift.

To receive an invitation to the event on May 15th, please email Spirit of a Woman Productions at indigenousnetworks@gmail.com

While initial funds raised by the “IMPACT CHANGE Initiative” will provide domestic violence care packages, future dollars raised during the ongoing campaign will provide resources for other domestic violence aids, such as legal assistance and shelter support.
