The Greywolf Foundation hosted its primary fundraiser, the second annual Curtis W. Blackdeer Memorial Golf Outing on September 1, 2022, at The Oaks Golf Course and BB Jack’s Cottage Grove. The golf outing portion sold-out with 36 foursomes and the dinner and auction reception was well attended by golfers, as well as other attendees. Golf sponsors, as well as many other sponsors, volunteers, donors and dinner guests helped make the fundraiser a huge success.

Platinum Sponsors for the outing were the Bank of Sun Prairie, Campbell Construction, Greywolf Partners, Inc., Park Vista Senior Housing Management and TQ Diamonds. Both Corporate

In addition to gifts provided to by the Greywolf Foundation, American Brands provided hats to every golfer. The Curtis W. Blackdeer Memorial Golf Outing is named in honor of Curt Blackdeer, the late father of Denise Wagner, the president of the Greywolf Foundation. Curt, whose Ho-Chunk Nation name was “Grey Wolf,” emphasized helping others and giving back to the community throughout his life. His favorite snack was cheese spread and crackers. As guests departed the reception, they were given a gift of cheese spread and crackers courtesy of Curt’s widow, Karen Blackdeer.

The Greywolf Foundation sincerely thanks all the event sponsors, individuals who donated items for both the silent online auction and the raffle, volunteers, golf course and restaurant staff, golfers, and dinner guests who all contributed to another wonderful event. Funds raised from the golf outing are dedicated to the Greywolf Foundation’s awarding of charitable grants to further its mission of impacting communities and improving lives.
